Our client is a small and friendly Building Consultancy based in Newmarket looking for an experienced administrator to join their team. 

The most important characteristics required in the candidate are reliability, punctuality, and a mature, friendly ‘can-do’ attitude. The person should generally have good communication skills, be organised, able to hop from task to task quickly and have very good grammar/spelling and typing skills.

Working under the guidance of, and in collaboration with, the Senior Administrator to ensure the effective and efficient running of the office. Responsible for the provision of administrative services to support the whole team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering phones/taking messages.
  • General typing for various types of documents from mostly hand-written notes.
  • Shredding/copying.
  • Updating spreadsheets.
  • Archiving folders.
  • Office Fire Marshal – formal training will be provided.

Salary

Up to £23,000 per annum. Discretionary bonus is paid in September each year. This has been around £2,000 for the last few years. So circa £25k PA.

Hours

Full time, 09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday.
