Are you a Trainee Engineer or Technician interested in site investigating, ground conditions and geotechnical projects?

You'll be joining a specialist engineering testing team, working on a variety of buildings, geophysical and ground investigation projects in London and across East Anglia. Working on a range of projects you'll learn how to survey, test, inspect and assess structural ground and soil conditions for foundation designs. Training is provided. You'll help to set up equipment, running tests, note taking, sketches, photographs, ground investigation, CAD and report writing.

You’ll need a technical, geotechnical or environmental background and a willingness to work on-site, typically 3 or 4 days a week.

BTEC HND or similar in a Built Environment, Geotechnical, Environmental or Civil Engineering subject is preferred.

Start as a Trainee Investigation Engineer, and learn how to use testing equipment and geophysical and geotechnical instruments.

You’ll join a thriving consultancy with an excellent reputation for quality and developing its people, with offices in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and abroad. 

Experience in soil and rock description to BS5930, ground investigations, foundation design and borehole sampling would be beneficial.

You must have lived in the UK with residency for the last 5 years due to the security clearance requirements for this role.
