Are you an Engineering Technician or Trainee Engineer interested in working on-site investigating buildings?
This is not setting out or construction, you'll need to be interested in buildings and structures.
You'll be joining a specialist engineering testing team, working on a variety of sites and buildings in London and across East Anglia.
You must be prepared to travel, learn how to use testing equipment and come in at a trainee level.
You will be working on a real range of historical, healthcare, defence and modern buildings, learning how to test, inspect and assess structures. Training is provided on the use of testing, investigation and assessment equipment. You will be setting up equipment, running tests, making engineering observations, note taking, sketches, photographs, data collation and presentation of site data.
You’ll need a practical or technical background, prior experience in a construction or building environment, a driving licence, and a willingness to work on-site, typically 4 days a week and one back in the office.
BTEC or similar in a Built Environment or Civil Engineering subject is preferred.
More important is your interest in site work and building investigation and your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
Start as a Trainee Investigation Engineer, learn new skills and progress to Investigation Engineer and then a career in Project Management.
You’ll be joining a thriving consultancy with an excellent reputation for quality and developing its people, with offices in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and abroad.
You’ll need a full UK Driving Licence and UK residency for the last 5 years due to the security clearance requirements for this role.
You must be willing to travel to sites in London and East Anglia and also work from their Cambridge office.
