Technical Moves helps This Land™ to make further board level appointments

As part of our exclusive recruitment partnership with This Land™, Technical Moves are delighted that the fast growing development and investment business announced the appointment of Steve Norris as its Independent Non-Executive Chairman. The high-profile appointment reflects the development of the business as it continues to shape customer-led home building, while attracting leading industry experts to its senior team.

Steve Norris is a widely experienced Chairman with extensive knowledge of property, planning, transport and infrastructure, bringing a unique combination of both political and commercial expertise – in 2017 he was listed as one of Property Week’s Property Power 100. Steve Norris also holds the position of Chairman for Soho Estates and Driver Group PLC, and is Deputy Chairman of Optare PLC.

Steve Norris was a Member of Parliament for more than 14 years, serving as Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Departments of Environment, Trade and Industry and the Home Office prior to his appointment as Minister for Transport with a special responsibility for London. He is a former Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party and stood twice as their candidate for Mayor of London in 2000 and 2004. Having worked with both central and local government, Steve Norris’ in-depth political and commercial knowledge will be instrumental to the ongoing success of This Land™

Steve Norris added: “I am impressed by This Land’s commitment to maintain the highest standards in every aspect of its business, from governance through to execution of its growth strategy, and with particular reference to quality, design and responsiveness to customer requirements.

Far too often conventional property companies produce homes devoid of character and individuality; it is refreshing to see a company commit itself and aspire to be better than that, and to build homes that people will love and not want to leave.”

This Land™ is defined as much by its people as it is by its development projects, with a different model, purpose and approach to traditional development business, this new team is well positioned to challenge the marketplace and find new ways of thinking and doing things. Technical Moves has been appointed as the recruitment partner for This Land™, with recent appointments reflective of their tailored recruitment strategy.

Demonstrating the significant growth of This Land™, this announcement follows the recent appointments of four new employees to the company’s senior leadership team including; Kate Dunning, Marketing Director; Corné van Tonder, Finance Director, Alessandra Caggiano, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Natalia Boloz, Development Manager.

An ambitious vision requires an experienced recruiter and we will focus our extensive network and local experience as the This Land™ team continues to grow. You can view the current opportunities we have available with This Land™ below:
