Experienced Building Surveyor: Condition Surveys for Schools & Colleges (East Anglia, Essex, Herts)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Condition Surveyor to join a growing team. You will play a key role in delivering comprehensive building surveys for schools and colleges across East Anglia, Essex, and Hertfordshire.

As a Condition Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive condition surveys of schools and colleges across East Anglia, Essex, and Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth inspections of educational buildings, both internally and externally
  • Identify and assess potential building defects and health & safety hazards  and maintenance priorities
  • Ensure compliance with current building regulations and relevant legislation
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair needs, providing accurate cost estimates
  • Prepare clear, concise, and informative survey reports for clients
  • Liaise effectively with school/college staff, academy trusts, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Building Surveying degree (ideally MRICS or working towards)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience carrying out comprehensive building condition surveys on education or commercial buildings.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality reports on time and within budget
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license and a car (essential)
