We need a Land Estimator—a true numbers wizard—to join a dynamic Land and Development Team. This isn’t a back-office spreadsheet job; you’ll be the crucial financial brain that determines whether a promising piece of land becomes a profitable community or just a patch of grass. Your Scope of Work
You'll be the person who translates potential into profit, ensuring every land bid is rock-solid. Your core responsibilities include:

Preparing reliable, detailed land cost appraisals and robust estimates for new land acquisition opportunities across key regions.

Performing meticulous, site-specific take-offs directly from working drawings and technical documents to feed into land appraisals. No stone left uncounted!

Acting as the essential link between the Land, Commercial, Technical, and Engineering teams, helping to strategise and cost alternative site solutions to maximise value.

Calculating development cash flows based on anticipated start dates to accurately measure the all-important Return on Capital Employed (ROCE).

Crafting and delivering sharp, insightful overviews of completed land appraisals prior to submitting a bid—you’ll be a key voice in the room
Who You Are
We’re looking for a professional who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and own this process.

Experience that counts with at least 3 years of construction sector experience, ideally in an estimating, technical, or commercial role.

You don't just use Microsoft Excel; you dominate it. You can build complex, reliable financial models and cashflows in your sleep.

You are inherently self-motivated, exceptionally well-organised, and can work independently to tight deadlines without constant hand-holding

You have a keen ability to spot roadblocks, recognise problems quickly, and implement efficient, speedy solutions.

Excellent communication skills for dealing with multi-disciplinary teams—you speak the language of finance, land, and construction fluently.

As a bonus, you have experience using sector-specific financial/estimation software (e.g., COINS).
